Grey wolves are astonishing runners, their body is well adapted for this. Grey wolves toes are the only part of their foot that touches the ground when they walk.  Their front feet have five toes, their first toe doesn't touch the ground. While their back feet have four toes. The fact that they have canine teeth is perfect for their hunting, pulling meat off bones and they are capable of crushing bones with their amazing teeth. Grey wolves stomach has been well adapted to storing food, rather than fast digestion.  It also means Grey wolves eat in one feeding period to take advantage of prey availability. Grey wolves consume all body parts except hair and bones of prey.
